The Ajamie Scholarship Fund was established by Thomas R. Ajamie, who graduated from ASU with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. While attending ASU, Mr. Ajamie was the Student Body President, a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, and a recipient of the Leadership Scholarship. He is one of seven members of his immediate family to attend ASU, including his father, Edgar. Mr. Ajamie established this scholarship to honor his father Edgar and his two uncles, Amil and James, in appreciation for the support and guidance they provided him. Recognizing their philosophies of life-long learning, Mr. Ajamie felt a scholarship would be an appropriate tribute to their strong belief in the value of education, as well as a way to promote tolerance and equality among our youth.
The Ajamie Scholarship Fund is awarded to undergraduate students in the Leadership Scholarship Program who display respect and support for diversity initiatives in our society, and who demonstrate tolerance and acceptance of others without regard to race, religion, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or sexual orientation.
***This opportunity is open to current students in the Leadership Scholarship Program - https://eoss.asu.edu/lsp. Multiple scholarships will be awarded.
This award is selected and administered by the ASU Foundation.
