Scholarship information

ASU Canon Solutions America Environmental Equity Scholarship has been established by Canon Solutions America in partnership with the ASU African and African American Faculty and Staff Association to provide scholarship support or graduate or undergraduate students at ASU who have a demonstrated commitment to environmental stewardship.

Canon’s corporate philosophy is Kyosei, defined as “All people regardless of race, religion or culture, harmoniously living and working together into the future”. This concept resonates at the heart of every endeavor by the company as it fosters strong relationships with local communities and promotes respect for the environment. The company has worked to reduce its carbon footprint, carefully manage its use of harmful chemicals, increase its use of recycled products, and promote biodiversity conservation in local communities. Recognizing that economic strife and environmental degradation harm some populations more than others, which further weakens social stability, Canon Solutions America offers this scholarship at ASU to encourage students who are taking an active stance in environmental protection that also lends to prosperity in underserved communities.

This scholarship is administered and awarded externally by the ASU Foundation.
